Designing for the
future as well as the present
This large classical formal garden designed on classical principles the original inspiration from Andrea Palladio's original concepts with spatial awareness has been designed with future growth in mind. All the trees were planted as standards to allow the best root systems to form. Andrea Palladio's (1508 - 1580) original concepts were the original inspiration for the design's tree form's uprights and arches. The Basilica lime hedge (Tilia platyphllos rubra) that forms the central feature of the garden is 4.5m fully grown.
The spatial design and classical garden proportions of the
landscaping, both hard and soft, in this area all relate to the fully developed
structure. The lower pond with adjoining stone paving blends modern and classical design of the full scale rural landscaping.
